The robot self-navigates in round ducts. The operator can monitor the cleaning process on a large 21-inch display and adjust the required parameters. In rectangular ducts, straightforward steering makes it easier to clean the full duct surface.

No secondary waste

During dry ice cleaning, carbon dioxide sublimates into gas. No secondary waste such as chemical or water-based cleaning residue is produced.

Surface disinfection

Dry ice blasting at approximately −78 °C provides an effective method for disinfection and odour removal, helping remove mould, organic growth, bacteria and odour-causing contaminants.

Lightweight and easy to handle

The robot weighs approximately 6–12 kg depending on the configuration, making it easy to lift, handle and install in the ductwork. Watch the video

Tested in demanding duct cleaning applications

The robotic system has been used in real-world cleaning projects involving grease ducts, ventilation ducts and other hard-to-reach duct systems.
In addition to dry ice duct cleaning, the platform can be used for duct inspection and imaging. We are also developing its use in robotic brush cleaning applications.

Easy to operate in both horizontal and vertical ducts

Less steering, easier operation

In round ducts, the robot uses the duct geometry to guide itself automatically, including through bends.
The operator does not need to continuously control the direction of travel and can instead focus on monitoring progress, cleaning speed and the cleaning process itself.
The 21-inch control display provides a clear view of the robot’s movement and camera feeds while allowing the operator to manage the system from one place.
The duct cleaning robot is suitable for round ducts with diameters of 200–630 mm and rectangular ducts with heights of 286–408 mm and a minimum width of 300 mm.

Strong traction in demanding duct systems

The robot has been designed for strong traction and stability, enabling reliable movement in vertical and geometrically demanding ductwork.
In practical testing, the system has also been able to pass small obstacles inside ducts, such as protruding screws.
The duct cleaning robot has successfully cleaned a 16-metre-high vertical duct.
